Samsung level headphones
So about a month ago I received a shiny pair of Samsung level headphones for signing up for Samsung pay on my husbands phone. The way the conversation went was “hey baby, if you sign up for Samsung pay I get free Bluetooth headphones. I'll make it worth your time” His response was do you really need another pair? But a couple weeks later they arrived.
My first thought as unpacking and opening the box, I was super impressed. They came with a charging cord, extra ear bud covers and warranty information.
The headphones them self sit on the back of your neck. Colouring wise, they are a dark metallic blue. The Samsung logo on the neck peice. The earbuds them self have small magnets in them so when you do not have them in your ears they snap together. That way it's not just dangling around your neck. The earbuds themselves are extremely comfortable. They have this little extension that you push into the folds of your upper ear. I have never had them fall out. There is also tiny elastic bands you can adjust that hold the cords along the padded rubber bands. You can have more slack or less depending on preferencd.
So the next step was to use them. The charging process was a normal charge time. Took about 60 minutes for them to fully charged and it was a simple process pairing them to my phone. (On a side note I have paired them with my android, iPhone and also computer with no problems).
I have tested the headphones out in 3 different enviroments. First place was at the gym. They stayed in place while lifting weights, using the stairs master and using the arc machine. No real sliding, moving or issues with sound quality.
The second environment I used them was road running. A fairly flat surface, just around the neighbourhood. For the first half a mile I was fighting with them to stay in place. They kept wanting to slide backwards and off my neck. I almost got to the point of turning around and swapping them out. After a mile they magically found thier comfort zone and I didn't notice them.
The last place I used them was my attempt at trail running. Very unstable and lots of up,down, left and right bouncing. That was big nope. They would not stay still and my run turned into a hike. I was very disappointed that I would not be using them again for trail running.
So overall they are a great product for indoor activities. But if you are looking to go exploring outside you may want to hang these up and use a different pair.
